RICE QUEEN GH

HOW TO cook the rice

Preparation

Step 1:

Measure the rice with a cup and pour it into the pot. Most rice cookers will come with a measuring “cup” of rice.

Step 2:

Wash the rice. Fill the pot with water or keep the pot under the faucet. When adding water, stir with your hands until the rice is completely submerged. Drain the water by gently pouring the water out, and catch it with your hand if the rice falls out.

Wash the rice about 2 times so that the rice becomes clean.

Step 2.1: Pour water into the rice

Step 2.2: Rub the rice by your hand

Step 2.3: Slightly pour out the water

Step 3:

Measure the amount of water. For Jasmine rice and OM5451 rice, it doesn’t absorb much water. 1 cup of rice goes with 1 cup of water. You can always adjust the amount of water the next time you cook if you want the rice to be drier or stickier.

The water level should be slightly above the rice surface

Step 4:

Spread the rice evenly so that the rice is below the water level. Use chopsticks or a plastic ladle to push the rice grains that are still stuck around the sides of the pot into the water. If water or rice spills over the side of the pot, use a rag or cloth to wipe the outside of the pot.

Spread the rice on the pot by spoon (or you can use your hand directly)

Step 5:

Turn on the rice cooker
